Information for participants

This class is great for beginners and those who are keen to learn the basics of making  jewellery in wax & learning about casting in various metals. In just 8 hours (over 2 Saturdays) you will be introduced to a variety of traditional wax-working techniques using sheet or block wax, we’ll discuss what works, what doesn’t & how casting can help you make beautiful pieces using very basic tools. On the first Saturday you will be carving your wax, during the week we’ll send it to be cast in silver & in your second saturday you’ll learn about finishing techniques & will leave with the beginnings of a Silver charm bracelet.

The course is taught by Victoria Mason, a contemporary jeweller who has used hand making, wax work & casting in her own jewellery ranges.

There will be a maximum of 4 students per class.
